Bushman – Made for the Fireline, Built for the Woods

Some tools are made to look the part.
The Bushman is made to live it.

Inspired by the legendary Skookum Bushtool, the Bushman was designed as a true working companion for bushcraft, camping, and life beyond the trailhead. It’s the knife you reach for when the fire needs building, the shelter needs shaping, or the day’s work demands reliability you don’t have to think twice about.

Handmade with expert craftsmanship, the Bushman balances strength, control, and comfort in one purpose-driven design. The convex edge geometry delivers smooth slicing performance with excellent edge retention, allowing it to carve cleanly, process material efficiently, and handle demanding camp tasks without constant maintenance.

The handle is shaped to sit naturally in the hand — secure, comfortable, and ready for long hours of carving, feather sticking, food prep, or general camp work without fatigue.

This isn’t just another camp knife.
It’s a blade built for those who understand that time in the woods rewards simplicity, reliability, and tools that earn their place through use.

Whether you’re bushcrafting deep in the backcountry, carving by the fire, or tackling everyday outdoor tasks, the Bushman is ready.

    Steel:

    80CrV2

80CrV2 is a high-carbon tool steel known for its exceptional toughness and durability. It’s often called a “workhorse steel” because it can take a beating without chipping, making it perfect for hard-use outdoor and survival knives. It sharpens easily in the field and holds a keen edge for a long time, though its main strength is toughness over extended edge retention. If you’re looking for a dependable blade that can withstand heavy chopping, batoning, and everyday abuse, 80CrV2 is a great choice.

    ProCut

ProCut stainless steel offers an excellent balance of corrosion resistance, edge retention, and toughness. It was designed for demanding environments where a knife may be exposed to moisture, food acids, and outdoor conditions. ProCut holds its edge longer than many carbon steels while still being relatively easy to sharpen. It’s a versatile option for those who want stainless performance without giving up the durability needed for serious work, making it equally at home in the kitchen or in the field.

    AEB-L

AEB-L stainless steel is famous among knife makers for its ability to take an extremely fine, razor-sharp edge. Originally developed for razor blades, it excels in slicing performance and corrosion resistance. It’s easy to sharpen and maintain, and it’s especially well-suited for kitchen knives, fillet knives, and fine-edged tools. While not as tough as heavy-duty tool steels, AEB-L offers an outstanding cutting feel and is ideal for those who prioritize sharpness and precision.

    A8 Mod

A8 Mod tool steel is built for extreme toughness while still delivering solid edge retention. It can take impacts and hard use that would damage many other steels, making it popular for large choppers, survival blades, and tools that face heavy abuse. Its wear resistance is higher than steels like 80CrV2, yet it remains easier to sharpen than ultra-hard steels. If you need a blade that can withstand punishing tasks in the field while holding a working edge for longer, A8 Mod is an excellent middle ground between brute strength and cutting performance.
